The club embarked on an ambitious programme of developing end expanding junior cricket in 2010. For the first time, we offered the long form of the game (40 overs, 11 a side) at under 13 level. We are the only club from west Gloucestershire competing in this advanced form of cricket in the Gloucesteshire Youth Competition.

As well as the Under 13 under 13 team, we fielded an Under 15 League team, another team at Under 13 level, and one at Under 11.

We hope to keep our youth development programme going forward in 2011.

We will hold regular training sessions for juniors aged from 8-15 this summer

We look forward to further consolidation and expansion of cricket in Newnham next season.
