A Talent to Amuse - ‘Present Laughter’
This play by Noel Coward at his lightest and most amusing is being performed on Thursday 16th, Friday 17th and Saturday 18th September at the Newnham Club by Altar Ego, following their success with ‘Under Milk Wood’. Altar Ego are supported by St. Peter’s PCC and Newnham Players.
The audience is invited to dress as if they were attending a play in the late 1930’s reflecting the glamorous cafe society of the day; so gentlemen if you can, don dinner jackets and ladies glitzy cocktail style dresses. There will be a prize each evening for the most appropriately dressed guest. (Dressing up is not compulsory!)
To further create the atmosphere guests are asked to arrive at 7pm for a cocktail and canapés prior to the play’s commencement at 7.30pm.
Tickets £10 (including cocktail and canapés) are now on sale from Newnham Post Office or via 01452 762017.
Proceeds from this production go towards the work of St Peter’s in the parish, so do come along for what promises to be a fun and delightful fund-raising evening – bring friends!
